Being a market leader in Europe, we supply museums (in which we are world market leader), libraries, hospitals, offices and archives. Through our own sales offices and a worldwide network of distributors, we are represented in Europe, the United States, Asia and Australia. Organisations like the Rijksmuseum, the Louvre, Boijmans van Beuningen, the British Museum and Cambridge University, but also Deloitte, Rabobank and Securitas are among our customers. By continuously focusing on Corporate Social Responsibility we apply best practices in energy and water stewardship. Combined with attention to material health this supports sustainability of the planet (we reduce our footprint and that of the customer) as well as the wellbeing of every individual working with our solutions.

And this is all done with a passionate team of 200 colleagues, of whom 130 work at the head office in Panningen, where production and international distribution takes place.

This growth will be driven by geographical expansion, new segments like horticulture and Healthcare, innovation and renovation, operational excellence and, last but not least, communication. To enable this growth there is a need to deepen and professionalise our marketing efforts. We see the marketing department as the heart of the future organisation. with a proven track record in other organisations to lead our marketing department.

As Marketing Manager, you are the representative of the customers in the company living our credo “we put the customer at the centre of the table”. It is your mission to create the right conditions for successful sales of our customer solutions, which contributes to our growth strategy. You enable this by positioning Bruynzeel and its products attractively in the market and thereby contributing to a healthy planet.

The job:

Your role is to give substance to our four pillar growth strategy consisting of:

  1. Operational excellence (adding value over cost in everything we do), for example by strong SKU management and first time right;
  2. Innovation and renovation (in the field of design, functionality and sustainability)
  3. Support Geographical expansion actively and find new segments and manage product and service innovations from orientation to implementation.
  4. Support the implementation of our sustainability vision.

To achieve this you:

  • analyse customer needs for storage solutions, market trends, competition and financial opportunities and
  • brainstorm with Product Management, Operations and Sales on existing and new concepts and (marketing) strategies
  • develop, implement and monitor a Marketing strategy which supports our growth strategy and is broadly supported by the management and the sales offices and which includes the development of new segments and introduction of new products
  • translate the marketing plan into (among other things) budget, annual plan, projects and operational actions for the various disciplines within your department
  • give advice to the management team, monitor the budget and report the progress and successes to the Management Team
  • are responsible for the online marketing strategy and develop marketing campaigns and product launches (go to market strategy)
  • lead 4 staff members (product managers and communication professionals)

Your experience:

  • You have excellent leadership, communication and collaboration skills as well as project management skills. You are able to motivate and enthuse your team and the various departments and management and get things done;
  • You strongly believe it’s vital that every business contributes to a healthy planet
  • You have more than 10 years of relevant working experience within a (similar) B2B environment with production and you have a relevant (Bachelor or Master) education. You have a strong technical affinity or link with engineering;
  • You share the same core values like we do: customer focus, integrity, expertise & teamplay, Corporate Social Responsibility, entrepreneurial spirit & winning mentality
  • You have experience with researching and entering new market segments;
  • You are a hands-on manager who, in addition to setting the course and implementing it, also rolls up his sleeves;
  • Good oral and written communication skills in Dutch and English;
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
